I go out into the world with my body, at times, with a sense of outrage. Living in cities has propelled me into the randomness of things; meanderings, stories of arbitrary connection, off shoots and isolation. I use a wide range of mediums including performance, sculpture and photography to convey how the internal and external realties of urban life constantly shift. My work with dirt and demolition reveals that there is no solid ground. Many of my projects lay bare the catastrophic, attempts at reparation, and how futile actions often convey the absurd. Scale is used to suggest the monumental, the mundane and the ridiculous. Making art is both an action and a residue, filled with strife, play and sometimes, recklessness.
